Without quartz sand and gravel, gravel and sand, our lives would look very different. Each of us uses several hundred tonnes of industrial minerals in our lives, for example for our homes, cars or computers. Many branches of industry could not manufacture their products without our raw material. By using modern technology, WOLFF & MÜLLER Quarzsande minimises the effort required for processing and protects the environment through lower specific energy consumption.

With this in mind, the processing plants are constantly adapted to the state of the art. Innovative technologies are used for new investments. For example, a state-of-the-art water treatment system at the Quedlinburg plant has significantly reduced the amount of water required to process the silica sand. This not only makes better use of water as a resource, but also saves the energy required to pump the water. Other starting points for greater sustainability include photovoltaic systems, electric wheel loaders and the use of biodegradable oils.

WOLFF & MÜLLER Quarzsande GmbH has been certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) since 2014 and consistently implements all the necessary measures.
